As there was a football match, the station was teeming with fans. The train that my son and I boarded was overcrowded, we very nearly got injured a few times and many people were standing in front of the disabled toilet and other exits - we had nowhere to go but the corridor and were unable to get to the toilets to change his nappy.
When a member of staff came to check everyone's tickets,
I asked why it was so overcrowded - she said because of the football... I suggested they add an extra carriage in future as the stadium gives ample warning to all the public transport services - she argued back at me and pretty much said I should be grateful for what I got and went on for a further five minutes to humiliate me in front of other customers.
I am not normally a soft touch but I was so shocked by her response that I had no argument, I actually felt like crying and didn't know where to look as other passengers were watching. "I agree it isn't very good, we sometimes don't have enough carriages/funding/staff" would have been fine, I wasn't asking for a big debate. No wonder people are so scared of complaining in this country.

You should've taken her name and reported her, I would've done.
Although when a bus driver spoke to me rudely and upset me in a similar way I was too shaken to do that.
