One of the last legs of my journey returning from Norwich is a London Kings Cross train. Last night, an accident happened with a motor vehicle which had damaged a bridge making it too risky for trains to use a certain track - so things were delayed. I appreciate this, accidents happen and you cannot always blame someone.
However, to save being fined at King Cross, the train I usually get
decided (once it had departed and people had boarded) to miss out all the small stops along the way so they could be on time. For me, this added a further 40 minutes to my journey. For others, this made them late by over an hour.

I think this is my biggest gripe about public transport, you're so reliant on them to get you places and you can't control any of the delays (at least with a car you can take a different route).
